Children’s Symphony Concert

Annually, the Wooster Symphony Orchestra in partnership with the Tri-County Educational Service Center and Friends of the Wooster Symphony Orchestra presents a 4th Grade Chldren’s Symphony Concert at McGaw Chapel on the campus of The College of Wooster. Typical attendance for this concert is around 1,200 4th grade students from school districts in Waynea and Holmes counties. 4th grade students have the opportunity to learn about the orchestra and attend a live orchestra concert.

Registration opens Monday, November 2.

The 2026 Children’s Symphony Concert took place on Thursday, February 26. All students were provided with a student orchestra booklet and prepared for several weeks in music class with their elementary music teacher. Based on post-concert results, over 80% of students saw a live orchestra for the first time at this concert!
