Wayne County Truancy Resources
Tri-County Educational Service Center and the Wayne County Juvenile Court System have established policy to prevent and eliminate truancy prior to formal court action. Wayne County administrators are provided with established polices, procedures and forms to assist them in providing a uniform and consistent process.

Placement Procedures for School Officials
A student may be placed in the WCDC for a period of one (1) to ten (10) school days. Placement notification must be sent to and confirmed by the WCDC Supervisor.
Placement notification must be communicated using the WCDC Placement Notification Form. This form can be e-mailed or faxed to the Tri-County ESC building to the attention of Jamie Imhoff at (330) 345-7622.
Students must either arrive with schoolwork or have schoolwork delivered to the WCDC prior to or concurrent to the student's assigned placement. It is the school official's responsibility to procure work for placed students.
