DOUBLE THE VALUE OF YOUR DONATION

An anonymous group of donors has offered a one-for-one matching challenge of $50,000 for any donations going to the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBD) Fund at the Wayne County Community Foundation. IBD graduates are highly sought by college recruiters because they are truly prepared to succeed in undergraduate and graduate academics.  Many colleges rank an IBD above GPA and SAT/ACT scores for admission.

The IBD Program, with its highly respected, very vigorous, and challenging curriculum is available in 3,301 schools in 141 countries. The Tri-County International Academy, administered by the Tri-County Educational Service Center (TCESC) and housed at Wooster High School is one of only 21 IBD schools in Ohio.

Based on budget projections, IB can be financially sustainable with a minimum threshold of 25 new students enrolled annually.  A fund was established to ensure the viability of the local IBD school by supplementing costs in less-than-threshold enrollment years and/or provide scholarship assistance to qualified students with limited financial resources.

Donations should be payable to The Wayne County Community Foundation listing IBD on the check memo line and mailed to:  Wayne County Community Foundation, 517 N. Market St., Wooster, OH 44691. In addition to cash, contributions of securities, or other assets are accepted.
